Please perform the following steps in order to apply for admission to the African Standby Capacity:
Step Two: Please send a message to your regional focal point in order to express interest in joining the African Standby Capacity. Your focal point will grant you access to a database in order to apply online. Please find the contact details of your focal point here. If you are unsure which region your country belongs to, please consult the list of member states as per Regional Economic Community/Regional Mechanism.
Step Five: Your focal point now reviews your application and will invite you to a selection interview if you meet all admission criteria. After the completion of the selection interview, you will be notified about whether you have been admitted to the pool.
Application for Peace Support Operations (PSOs):
If you want to apply for deployment in a Peace Support Operation (PSO) you will apply for roster membership through your regional African Standby Force organisation or mechanism. If you are not sure which regional organisation your country is a member of, please click here.
Application for Mediation Capacity: currently no admissions to the pool
